Barrie Aldridge Award
The New Zealand Brass Foundation is extremely proud to offer The Barrie Aldridge Award - Former National Band, Woolston and Addington Trombonist. This award is open to Trombone players of any level of playing or style.
With kind permission from Janet Aldridge, the Barrie Aldridge Award will honour a wonderful musician who has made an enormous contribution to brass playing in NZ.
This award can be utilised to assist in support for an event, masterclass, lessons, project or any educational opportunity which may promote the advancement and study of brass music in New Zealand.
These awards align with the NZ Brass Foundations mandate to undertake, promote or assist in the education of brass players at every level, and to promote the advancement and study of brass music.
The NZBF would like to offer these awards in September 2016.

Applications are open to all brass players under the age of 25 on the 1st of September 2016, and the amount applied for should be less than $200. This award can be utilised to assist in support for an event, masterclass, lessons, project or any educational opportunity which may promote the advancement and study of brass music in New Zealand.
